Two New RHD Abarth Models

Abarth UK range adds new models: Abarth 595 Turismo and Abarth 595 Competizione with power and suspension upgrades and added equipment. Standard Abarth 500 gains extra equipment, lower price.

Two New RHD Abarth Models

Two new versions of Abarth's Fiat 500-based pocket rocket are now available to order in right-hand drive: the Abarth 595 Turismo and the Abarth 595 Competizione. As their names suggest, new models are aimed at two distinct customers but both offer significant power and specification upgrades to customers looking for an enhanced Abarth ownership experience.

The luxury-oriented Abarth 595 Turismo is powered by a 1.4-litre turbo-charged engine, upgraded from 135hp to 160bhp, and is available with a manual or MTA (automated manual) transmission. Added equipment includes uprated shock-absorbers; leather upholstery; climate control; 10-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels; xenon headlamps; special pedals and floor mats; machined aluminium fuel and oil caps; rear privacy glass and red brake callipers. UK prices for the Abarth 595 Turismo start at ST£17,725m which equates to approximately €29,000 in Ireland after all importation taxes are paid (excluding travel and transportation costs).

The sportier Abarth 595 Competizione features the same 160hp 1.4-litre turbo-charged engine and uprate suspension that the Turismo version enjoys, as well as equipment enhancements including xenon headlamps; special pedals and floor mats; machined aluminium fuel and oil caps and privacy glass, but adds cross-drilled brake discs with red callipers; Sabelt racing seats; a "Record Monza" exhaust and 5-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels. UK Prices for the Competizione start at ST£18,725 which is approximately €31,000 for anyone wishing to personally import an Abarth 595 Competizione into Ireland.

The standard Abarth 500 1.4 T-Jet Turbo 135hp also benefits from some subtle upgrades, including a new colour option, extra standard equipment and a reduced on-the-road price of £13,975 in the UK (the equivalent of €23,500 when privately imported into Ireland). An "Esseesse" (SS or SuperSport) high performance engine, wheel, brake and suspension kit continues to be offered as a warranty-backed, dealer-fit option.
